Jean Michel Basquiat Children's Art Workshop

In this workshop we will discover & discuss the graffiti artist turned gallery artist Jean Michel Basquiat.
We will discuss the transition from graffiti on subway walls to respected gallery walls.  We will also discuss the effects of being a black art prodigy in Eighties New York. 
Each child will create their own graffiti style art using  Basquiat as an influence.
Your child will bring home preliminary work, handouts & a painted canvas panel to proudly display at home.
Small groups of children.
All materials provided.
Snack provided in accordance to dietary requirements.
Children age 5 - 11 years old 
Friday 26th October 2018 (During the School Half Term)

The Hub at The Horsebridge Arts Centre, 11 Horsebridge Road, Whitstable, Kent CT5 1AF 
Please note that the workshop will be held on the first floor, this is accessible via a lift and also via stairs.
This is a drop-off session. There is a cafe in the Horsebridge Centre next to The Hub where the workshop will take place. Nearby Harbour Street & High Street is only a short stroll away.
Shortly before the workshop we will email to you a short form to complete regarding emergency telephone numbers, dietary requirements etc. We can't wait to meet your creative child!
