Van Gogh's Starry Night Inspired Art

Van Gogh's Starry Night Inspired Art

As this Starry Night online workshop took place in the middle of the Lockdown for Covid-19, the theme felt extra poignant to me - Van Gogh painted his masterpiece whilst in isolation during his stay in hospital during the penultimate year of his life. The painting was the view from his hospital room, painted during the day from memory; This opened up lots of opportunity for discussion and emotions around lockdown and isolation.

During the session we discussed our appreciation for our outside space, freedom and nature.  Every child addressed this workshop in their own unique way, some painting what they could see out of their own windows and some imaging a fantasy world outside.

Here are just some of the incredible art works created.

Please share with friends and relatives - at the bottom of the page, you can leave comments for the children !

If your child missed out on the Live Online Van Gogh Starry Night Children's Workshop, don't despair - they can watch and enjoy the forthcoming On-Demand Van Gogh Starry Night Online Workshop. As it is pre-recorded, your child can watch and pause at their leisure. It should keep your children engaged in creativity for approx one-three hours (dependent on age and concentration levels).

And it's just one price per family too!
