I am absolutely thrilled to share that I have been named a finalist in two categories at the Kent Women in Business Awards 2025; having been recognised for both the Women in Education Award and the Innovation Award categories, and I could not be prouder.
This recognition is incredibly meaningful to me. Dot Kids was founded with a deep belief in the power of art to transform confidence, self-expression, and well-being in children. And to see that vision acknowledged within the business community -especially in the fields of education and innovation - feels like a huge milestone.
Tomorrow evening, I will be attending the awards ceremony alongside so many inspiring women who are making an impact in their industries. Win or not, this is a moment to reflect on how far Dot Kids has come and the difference we are making.
Why These Nominations Matter
Being a finalist in the Women in Education category is particularly special because Dot Kids is rooted in art education that goes beyond traditional teaching. It is about nurturing creativity, encouraging confidence, and providing children with a space where they can express themselves freely. Every workshop, art club, and session is designed to empower young minds - and being recognised for that work is incredibly affirming.
The Innovation Award nomination is equally exciting. Dot Kids has always pushed boundaries, finding new ways to engage children in creative learning. Whether it is our therapeutic art nurture sessions, or the new initiatives we are develop, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. This nomination highlights the importance of creativity in education and the impact that forward-thinking approaches can have.
The Journey of Dot Kids
When I founded Dot Kids, my mission was clear: to create a space where children could explore their creativity in a meaningful way. Too often, art is treated as an afterthought in education, yet it is one of the most powerful tools for building confidence, resilience, and self-expression.
Over the years, Dot Kids has grown into an award-winning art education business. We have worked with schools, communities, and charities to ensure that children have access to inspiring art experiences. We have also developed programmes that support children who may struggle in traditional classroom settings, helping them find their voice through creativity - through our Therapeutic Art Nurture Sessions.
Now, with the expansion of Dot Kids through franchising, the impact is set to grow even further. Seeing new franchisees prepare to bring Dot Kids to their own communities is a huge step forward - and one that reinforces the power of what we are building.
Looking Ahead
Tomorrow night’s awards ceremony will be a celebration—not just of Dot Kids, but of the importance of women in business, innovation in education, and the power of creativity.
Being a finalist in two categories is a huge honour, and whatever the outcome, I am incredibly proud of what Dot Kids represents.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey every parent, carer, teacher, and child who has been part of a Dot Kids session, and every person who believes in the value of art education that truly makes a difference.
I cannot wait to share what comes next.
