Counting Down to the ICAP Conference 2025: Learning, Connecting & Celebrating!

Counting Down to the ICAP Conference 2025: Learning, Connecting & Celebrating!

Next week, I’ll be heading to the ICAP (Institute of Children's Activity Providers) Conference 2025, and I can’t wait! There’s something so special about being in a room full of people who get what it’s like to run a children’s activity business; the passion, the challenges and the highs.

The ICAP Conference is not just about learning (although I know I’ll be scribbling down pages of notes!); it’s also about connection. So many people I’ve only ever spoken to online will finally be real, in-person faces, and I cannot wait to hug old friends, meet new ones, and share stories with fellow business owners who understand this journey. The support in this industry is unmatched, and having a whole day dedicated to coming together, sharing insights, and celebrating each other is something I cherish.

Learning & Growing

The lineup for the conference looks amazing. There’s a whole host of inspiring speakers sharing their knowledge, and I know I’ll be leaving with fresh ideas and renewed motivation. From business growth strategies to marketing insights and everything in between, I’m ready to soak it all up and bring new ideas back to Dot Kids. It’s easy to get stuck in the day-to-day running of a business, so stepping out and surrounding myself with innovative minds is just what I need.

The ICAP Awards - And I’m a Finalist!

One of the things I’m most excited about is the ICAP Awards, which take place at the end of the day. Awards can sometimes feel like a ‘nice extra,’ but honestly, they mean so much because they shine a light on the incredible work happening across our sector.

And I’m a finalist in two categories!

Community Beacon – Outstanding Achievement in Inclusivity and Community Engagement

And

Trailblazer – Outstanding Achievement in Innovation

These categories feel so personal to me because they reflect everything I’ve worked so hard to build with Dot Kids. Art should be for everyone, and I’ve always been driven to make creativity accessible, whether that’s through our therapeutic nurture sessions, our work with children in care, or just making sure every child feels valued and confident in their artistic expression. To be recognised for that is honestly incredible.

But more than anything, I’m looking forward to celebrating all the amazing businesses doing brilliant things for children and families. The ICAP Awards are a reminder of why we do this, why we push through the hard days, why we keep going, and why the impact we have is worth it.

If you’re attending the ICAP Conference too, please come and say Hi!

See you there!
