About the Freelance Art Leader Role
As a Freelance Dot Kids Art Leader, you will deliver engaging and inclusive after school art sessions for primary school children, following our structured yet flexible Dot Kids Method.
You’ll introduce children to creative techniques, inspiring artists and open-ended processes that support wellbeing and confidence – not perfection.
Role details:

Freelance delivery of After School Art Club sessions

Working in primary schools across Whitstable, Kent

32 weeks per academic year

Four sessions per week (Monday to Thursday)

Pay:

£35 per 1-hour session

£26.25 per 45-minute session

Approximate annual earnings: £4,200

Full Dot Kids training provided

This role is well suited to artists, illustrators, creative facilitators, teaching assistants, educators or arts practitioners seeking flexible freelance work.
Who We are Looking For
We’re looking for a Freelance Art Leader who:

Is confident working with primary school–aged children

Is passionate about art, creativity and children’s wellbeing

Shares the Dot Kids ethos of nurturing confidence, individuality and self-expression

Is reliable, warm and engaging
-
Holds a valid enhanced DBS certificate (issued within the last 3 years)
Teaching qualifications are not essential – a genuine love of creativity and children is.

📍 Location: Whitstable, Kent
📅 Training starts: Tuesday 6th January 2026
All Art Leaders receive full training in the Dot Kids Method to ensure confident, high-quality delivery in schools.
