I Am Proud to Be On the Strategic Committee at Revival Charity: Supporting Mental Health in East Kent

I’m thrilled to share something that means a great deal to me both personally and professionally: I am proud to announce that I am now a member of the Strategic Committee at Revival Food & Mood, a visionary charity working in association with MIND East Kent.

Revival is not just a charity, it’s a movement. A powerful, grassroots response to the growing need for holistic mental health support & community connection.

As someone deeply passionate about well-being, emotional literacy, and the transformative power of creativity, being part of the team helping to shape Revival’s future is both a privilege and a purpose-driven alignment.

What Is Revival Food & Mood?

Revival is a cafe and community hub, in Whitstable, Kent. This important charity supports people across East Kent through a unique blend of nourishment, connection and mental health awareness. It combines the healing power of good food, mood-boosting activities, and meaningful community connection to support people who are struggling with their mental health.

Revival meets people where they are. It's a space where everyone is welcomed, heard, and supported.

Why I Said Yes to the Strategic Committee

When the opportunity arose to join the Strategic Committee, I didn’t hesitate. As the founder of Dot Kids, I’ve spent nearly three decades in the Creative Sector and/or Education supporting emotional wellbeing, confidence, and self-worth—particularly in children and young people. Revival’s ethos mirrors many of the values that underpin my work.

Being part of the strategic conversations that help guide Revival’s future means I can offer my insight, experience and voice to help shape projects that are inclusive, impactful, and sustainable.

A Local Charity Making a Big Impact

Based in Whitstable, with a reach that extends across East Kent, Revival is a vital support network for many who feel isolated, overwhelmed or unheard. It’s work is grounded in community, inclusion, and connection, and it actively works to remove the stigma around mental health.

Together with MIND East Kent, Revival ensures that support is not only available but also approachable and community-led.

Why This Matters

In a time when so many people, of all ages are struggling with their mental health and emotional wellbeing, organisations like Revival offer more than just services. They offer hope.

They offer a sense of belonging, an opportunity to heal, and a reminder that we are all worthy of support, connection, and care.

Being a small part of that mission fills me with pride.

Let’s Keep the Conversation Going

Mental health matters. Community matters. Connection matters.

If you’re in the East Kent area and want to know more about Revival Food & Mood, please get involved, or support their work - I wholeheartedly encourage you to visit the cafe, for a wonderful connected experience.

And if you're passionate about the intersection of creativity, well-being, and community too, then let’s connect. I believe we can all play a role in building healthier, more connected futures.
